Winter storm warning, advisories in effect through Sunday
PITTSBURGH -- Winter weather advisories and winter storm warnings are in effect from 6 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Sunday for much of the Channel 11 News viewing area.
Light snow is expected to begin falling late Friday afternoon and continue through the evening with several waves of snow making their way across the area into Sunday.

Total snowfall accumulation through Saturday night will generally be 2- to 3 inches across much of the area. Four- to 8-inches of snow is likely in the Laurel Highlands, east of a line from Indiana to Latrobe to Uniontown, including places like Ligonier, Seven Springs, Farmington, Deep Creek and Bruceton Mills.
Temperatures during the day Saturday will fall from the mid-20s into the teens. Wind chill values Saturday afternoon through Sunday morning will be in the single digits.
